Entry Prizes

Six $250 Prezee/Prezzy (AUD/NZ) vouchers to be awarded to entry videos that best meet our six video categories. 


Regional and Metro Cook-offs

We'll select 1 winner per region to proceed to round 3 (the grand final cook-offs), they'll also win a $250 restaurant voucher and a kitchen equipment prize courtesy of SOLIDTEKNICS (12 to be won).


Grand Finals

Nestlé Golden Chef of the Year Award

The Winner will be awarded an $10,000AUD cash prize to support their culinary advancement.

Most Creative Use of a Nestlé Product Award

The winner will receive SOLIDTEKNICS kitchen equipment packages valued at $1,000AUD and Best Restaurants Australia™ $250AUD restaurant dining vouchers.

Most Sustainable Approach Award

The chef that demonstrates the Most Sustainable Approach towards their menu in their entrée, main, or dessert course presentations (as per judging criteria) will be deemed the Most Sustainable Approach award winner and will receive a SOLIDTEKNICS kitchen equipment package (up to the value of $1,000 AUD), plus a $250 dining card from Best Restaurants Australia.

It will be important to demonstrate to the judges what sustainable practices you incorporate into your finals menu. This might include sourcing local and native produce from artisan suppliers, head-to-tail practice to eliminate as much waste as possible, using home-grown ingredients - along with any other methods you can showcase in your dishes. 

You will be required to tell the story behind your ingredient selections in each course to the judges in your 5-minute presentation window, so be ready to impress!


We will provide the necessary chef uniforms and ingredients for both the regional cook-offs and grand final cook offs.

While winning the prestigious Nestlé Golden Chef’s Hat Award is the ultimate accolade, we believe that putting yourself up to the test and pushing yourself to be a better chef is a valuable experience in itself.
