We’re excited that the 2021 comp is back to live chef-to-chef cook-offs at both Regional and Grand Finals, so that young talent can showcase their cooking skills and be rated against their peers.

Regional & Metro Cook-offs 

An amazing level of young chefs have signed up for the 2021 action and all will now go forward to compete in their regional or metro heat. Each chef will create two courses (main and dessert), to be prepared, cooked, and served in 2.5 hours.

Their dishes will be judged to globally recognised standards with the opportunity to win medals at each stage.

Regional Prizes

We'll select 1 winner per region to proceed to round 3 (the grand final cook-offs). They'll also win a $250 Best Restaurants dining voucher and a kitchen equipment prize courtesy of SOLIDTEKNICS (2 pans per winner). 

Grand Final 

The top 12 winning chefs selected from Australia and New Zealand will then compete in the Grand Finals Cook-offs, to be held at Fine Food Australia in Sydney this September.

One chef will take out Golden Chef of the Year and be awarded a $10,000 cash prize to support their culinary advancement.
